About the Role: 

  

Firestorm is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Marketing to join our leadership team. This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing our marketing strategies to elevate brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and fuel demand for our innovative defense solutions. The Director of Marketing will oversee the development of comprehensive marketing campaigns, manage digital and traditional marketing channels, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of marketing principles, a passion for technology and defense, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.

You are a results-driven marketing professional with demonstrated success in developing and executing high-impact marketing strategies, preferably in the defense, technology, or aerospace sectors. Your creative mindset enables you to design compelling messaging and campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences, including government agencies and international partners. You are an exceptional communicator with strong leadership skills, capable of building relationships across various stakeholders and driving collaboration. Your strategic vision and analytical expertise empower you to make data-informed decisions that enhance marketing effectiveness and contribute to overall business growth. 

  

Responsibilities: 

  

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand recognition and attract new clients within the defense and technology sectors. 

  • Lead the marketing team in the creation of innovative, multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content marketing, social media, events, and public relations. 

  • Conduct market research and analyses to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning, using insights to inform marketing strategies. 

  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and engineering teams to ensure messaging and marketing materials effectively communicate the value of our solutions. 

  • Oversee the management of marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI on marketing initiatives. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, media representatives, and other external stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and credibility. 

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, utilizing metrics and KPIs to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Lead team development through coaching, mentorship, and fostering a culture of creativity and accountability within the marketing department. 

  • Stay informed about the latest trends in marketing technologies and digital marketing practices, integrating new tools and techniques to enhance our marketing efforts. 

  

Skills and Experience Required: 

  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position, ideally within the defense or technology sectors. 

  • Proven track record of successfully executing large-scale marketing campaigns that drive engagement and customer acquisition. 

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools, including Google Analytics, CRM systems, and digital marketing platforms. 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team while fostering collaboration and innovation. 

  • Proficient in digital marketing strategies, SEO, SEM, content creation, and social media management. 

  

Bonus Skills/Experience: 

  

  • Experience in the defense, aerospace, or high-tech industries, with a solid understanding of market dynamics and customer needs. 

  • Familiarity with government contracting processes and defense procurement regulations. 

  • Experience with brand development and corporate communications in a highly regulated industry. 

  

Other Requirements: 

  

  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. 

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% a month for industry events, client meetings, and conferences. 

  • US Citizenship is required to obtain security clearance. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

  

Base Salary: 140K to 160K
